Chair revamp

In my new job I moved to the same desk that my friend Alisha used to use when she was working in Ireland. She suffers from severe back pains so she always complained about the chair in her office. One day she found a high back chair in a skip and she brought it to work. From then on that was her chair.  When I moved to her office I got her chair. While I liked how comfortable the chair was I did not like the chair itself. It was looking tired and old fashion. So being me I decided to give it a make over.

This is what I did:

Bought IKEA fabric on the sale only 1.99€ the meter

Bought fabric studs only 2.99 in Woodies

Bought paint only 2.29€ in Woodies

I wanted to re upholster it by hammering the studs to the new fabric but the timber on the side of the chair was solid wood. So every time that I hammered the studs on the side of the chair they kept bending. Michael, my father in law, came to the rescue and he drilled the holes where the studs had to go. Justine, my mother in law, also helped holding the fabric. At the sides of the chair there was so much fabric that it was a 3 people job! thanks to them the chair is now finished and it looks great!!!
