The Cloughjordan Ecovillage is an ecological village that brings together a diverse group of people creating an innovative new community in Tipperary. It includes 67-acre site with beautiful andĀ fertile land where people from the town grow their own food, and plants and trees to promote biodiversity.
The ecovillage includes:
More than 50 low energy homes and work units so far
A solar- and wood-powered community heating system
50 acres of land for allotments, farming and woodland
A green enterprise centre and hi-spec broadband
An eco-hostel for visitors
A nearby train station and community farm
