Timber floor

Tuesday, October 1st, 2013

I have been looking at different options for timber floor for our house and I came across this company called Quick Step. I really like them and it looks that they have really nice options for floors.

The explanations about each products are very good. For example it explains super well the difference between engineered floor and solid wood:

“Quick-Step Parquet is an engineered hardwood floor. It means it is made up of three layers of real wood, compared to one layer for solid wood floors. Thanks to the careful selection of raw materials and a sophisticated manufacturing process, engineered hardwood is significantly less sensitive to contracting and expanding than solid wood floors”.

Here are some of their floors:

Sunday, September 22nd, 2013

I am constantly looking for inspiration on the web about house design. This week I am debating about the possibility to get a balcony in our house. If our beloved architect is reading this I am sure is pulling out her hair! I know we scraped that idea but I like to ponder everything about a million times!

So I went into Houzz for inspiration. I got some cool ideas:

I was looking for ideas on line and I came across a company called Think contemporary. Think contemporary is an interior design company.

I think that they are like a  gulp of fresh air. Their design is so contemporary and it adds bolt bright colours which I love.

Here are some examples of their projects:

Fire truck bed

Sunday, August 25th, 2013

I was browsing one of my favourite web sites ikeahackers.net and I found this marvellous hack!!!  a Kura bed converted into a fire truck with working lights and all!!!!!

I asked Cameron to do something like this for our baby. Cameron said that our little boy would have to look for a new Daddy because he is not able to produce such a thing! hahahaha! Although he said, ask Michael (his Dad). He said that Granddad Michael would be great for the job. Nobody like him with the hammer he said 😉

They are made by Smarin they really are unusual!

Summer is approaching to the end and so are the summer bbqs! I thought that before we say goodbye to the summer and the bbqs it would be good to have a post about them.

I selected some really cool design bbqs that I found over the web. I hope you get inspiration when ever you need to buy a new one!

We often disregard out pet friends when we design our homes. We all love them as one more in our families so we should have them in consideration!
