Earth Blocks, like LEGO but green!

Saturday, July 13th, 2013

I am a LEGO fan and I hope that my little boy becomes a LEGO fan too. There is still something that LEGO should improve, their environmental foot print.

I found these blocks that they are “LEGO like”  and are made from natural materials—scraps of cedar bark, coffee beans and green-tea leaves—that have been blended with polypropylene for rigidity.

Earth Blocks are softer around the edges than the classic toy. As a result, they don’t snap together as tightly as LEGOs do, but we have to say that they are really cool!

You can buy them in the Guggenheim store.

DIY Plastic Bag Rope

Wednesday, February 6th, 2013

I am always trying to use my own bags when I am going shopping, but there is always the odd time that you get plastic bags in places like the butchers or the fish monger. I had been trying to think what to do with all these plastic bags. I found this brilliant tutorial in the blog a Childhood list. It shows how to do a plastic bag rope. I love it I must try it and give it to my niece Emma.
